Utica Eisenhower had lost three games at home, but after bumping their record up to 4-6 on Monday that streak is in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out the Utica Chieftains 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since April 30, 2024.

As for Utica, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

For Utica's part, Ava Brunning and Rachel Durecki stepped up to the plate in a big way. Brunning got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, while Durecki went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. That home run was Brunning's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Gaby Vitale, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one double.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Utica Eisenhower will head out to square off against Utica Ford at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Utica, they will head out on the road to face off against Lakeview at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
