Basketball Recap: Sussex Central Comes Up Short

Sussex Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 56-36 to the Greensville County Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 334th, while the Eagles are ranked 162nd).

Sussex Central's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Greensville County, they pushed their record up to 15-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sussex Central has already played their next match (against Southampton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Greensville County has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Brunswick.
