Soccer Game Preview: Barstow vs. California

The Barstow Aztecs will square off against the California Condors at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Barstow's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Barstow is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They never let Fillmore onto the board and left with a 1-0 victory. The win was all the more spectacular given the Aztecs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 415th, while the Flashes are ranked 179th).

Barstow's one-goal win came courtesy of Cash Martinez, who's now up to eight this season.

Meanwhile, California waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Lions as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

Barstow is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for California, their win bumped their record up to 14-6.
