Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Uintah

Uintah had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top against the Mountain View Bruins by a score of 8-4. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Utes also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Abbie Davis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on 11 hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

On the hitting side, Uintah let Kynlee Bristol and Lynlee Hall run wild. Bristol scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4, while Hall scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenadee Mcallister, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: Uintah kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Uintah's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Mountain View, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Coming up, Uintah will welcome Provo at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mountain View, they will head out on the road to square off against Payson at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
