Basketball Game Preview: North Tahoe Lakers vs. West Wendover Wolverines

Two dominant forwards in Cormac Springsteel and Adryan Carlos are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. Having just played yesterday, the North Tahoe Lakers will head out on the road to face off against the West Wendover Wolverines at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.

On Friday, North Tahoe was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 53-49 to Battle Mountain.

Meanwhile, West Wendover waltzed into their game on Friday with 12 straight wins... but they left with 13. They walked away with a 65-56 win over the Highlanders.

West Wendover pushed their record up to 22-4 with the victory, which was their 24th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.1 points over those games. As for North Tahoe, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-8.

North Tahoe came up short against West Wendover in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 48-39. Can North Tahoe avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
