Baseball Recap: Eagle Wins High-Profile Game Against Owyhee

Eagle faced Owyhee in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Mustangs' pitcher stepped up to hand the Storm a 5-0 shutout. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Storm two weeks ago, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

Not much got past Caleb Zawadzki, who gave up just three hits to keep Owyhee off the board. Zawadzki has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jack Swanstrom, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Mike Stebel was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Eagle's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 15-11. As for Owyhee, their loss ended a 22-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 23-2.

As of now, neither Eagle nor the Storm have any future games scheduled.
