Baseball Recap: Ironton Picks Up Fourth Straight Win at Home

Ironton owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. Everything went their way against the South Point Pointers as they made off with a 9-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Fighting Tigers, who have now won four games by nine runs or more so far this season.

Not much got past Ian Ginger, who gave up just two hits and racked up eight Ks to keep South Point off the board.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Bryson Kerns, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. Tyler Roach was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Ironton's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for South Point, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
