Baseball Recap: Geneseo Wins Going Away Against Bloomington

After losing to Bloomington the last time they met, Geneseo decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Maple Leafs blew past the Purple Raiders 11-1 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Maple Leafs.

Geneseo's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Bloomington, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-6.

Coming up, Geneseo will head out to challenge Rock Island at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Maple Leafs are facing the Rocks at the right time seeing as the Rocks are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Bloomington, they will take on Metamora at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Purple Raiders will also cruise into their next match with the timing on their side: the Redbirds will have lost three straight heading into Saturday's contest.
