Baseball Recap: Linfield Christian Comes Up Short

Linfield Christian has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 2.64 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They came up short against the Ontario Christian Knights, falling 11-2. That makes it the first time this season the Lions have let down their home crowd.

Linfield Christian suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 8-2-1. As for Ontario Christian, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Linfield Christian will venture away from home to challenge Arrowhead Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Linfield Christian is facing Arrowhead Christian at the right time seeing as Arrowhead Christian is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Ontario Christian, they will square off against Rancho Cucamonga at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Rancho Cucamonga will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Ontario Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
