Baseball Recap: Logan Elm's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

The Logan Elm Braves didn't have quite enough to beat the Jackson Ironman/Ironladies on Friday and fell 4-2. The loss was the Braves' first of the season.

Mason Gentry put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run.

Gentry wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kelton Bennington, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Having lost for the first time this season, Logan Elm fell to 2-1-1.

Looking ahead, Logan Elm will take on Fairfield Union at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Jackson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Unioto at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
