Volleyball Recap: St. James Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Ella Marcee and Seble Stutzman

St. James was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat. They came up short against the Hermann Bearcats, falling 3-0. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Bearcats when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-8, 25-6.

St. James' loss came despite strong showings from Seble Stutzman and Ella Marcee. Stutzman had 17 digs, while Marcee had 16 digs.

Kealie Lane was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 12 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last 12 games she's played.

St. James' loss dropped their record down to 3-24-1. As for Hermann, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 13-12-1.

St. James does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hermann, they will challenge St. Francis Borgia at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
