Softball Recap: Lynn Camp Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Lynn Camp's offense. They came up short against the Clay County Tigers on Thursday, falling 14-0. Surprisingly, this marked the Wildcats' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Lynn Camp has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Clay County, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-7.

Coming up, Lynn Camp will face off against Barbourville at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Clay County, they will take on Belfry at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Pirates' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
