Basketball Recap: Round Lake Takes a Loss

Round Lake was the 51-47 winner over Grant Community when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Round Lake Panthers lost 49-28 to the Grant Community Bulldogs on Monday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Round Lake's record is now 8-19. As for Grant Community, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-19.

Round Lake and Grant Community could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Round Lake will face off against Wauconda at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday down 384 places (512 vs. 128). Meanwhile, Grant Community (ranked 532nd) will meet Grayslake Central (ranked 93rd) at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
