Basketball Recap: D'evelyn Extends Winning Streak to Three

D'Evelyn had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They enjoyed a cozy 52-35 win over the Moffat County Bulldogs on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Jaguars sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

It was another big night for Ellie McMann, who dropped a triple-double with 12 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Lyla Nagy, who went 6-for-14 to rack up 14 points and six boards.

D'Evelyn smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Moffat County only three offensive boards.

When it comes to explaining why Moffat County lost, don't look at Caitlyn Adams. Despite the final result, she posted 16 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Vanzo, who had five points.

D'Evelyn's victory bumped their record up to 21-3. As for Moffat County, they moved to 14-10 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

D'Evelyn has already played their next game, a 47-41 win against Peak to Peak on the 8th. Moffat County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
