The Van Vleck Leopards entered their tilt with the Columbia Roughnecks with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Van Vleck put the hurt on Columbia with a sharp 56-34 victory on Thursday. Given Van Vleck's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 453rd, while Columbia is ranked 1362nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jaila Wilson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points. Another player making a difference was Tamauri Fields, who scored 13 points.
Van Vleck now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Columbia, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Van Vleck will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Brazoswood at 3:30 p.m. on November 30th. As for Columbia, they will square off against Tidehaven at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
