Football Recap: Wossman Comes Up Short

After soaring to 73 points the game before, Wossman was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They took a 24-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Ouachita Chiefs. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 35-13 to the Chiefs when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Wossman's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for West Ouachita, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wossman will welcome Franklin Parish at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Patriots have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. As for West Ouachita, they will host Peabody at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Chiefs will be up against the Warhorses' rather soft defense (which has allowed 42.29 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
