Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Marshall's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

The Marshall Redhawks were able to grind out a solid victory over the Grand Ledge Comets on Saturday, taking the game 2-0.

Brynn Johnson paced Marshall's offense, picking up nine kills. Johnson got some help from Addie Carden and her 19 assists. Brookelyn Stealy controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Marshall is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-8-1 record this season. As for Grand Ledge, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-12-1.

Coincidentally, Marshall and Grand Ledge will both be playing Forest Hills Central the next time they take the court. The Comets will head out to face the Rangers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Redhawks will play them later in the day, at 12:30 p.m.
