Baseball Recap: Gerstell Academy vs. Glenelg Country Dragons
Gerstell Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Glenelg Country Dragons. Gerstell Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Glenelg Country apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.
For Glenelg Country's part, Cary Pakulla was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Sebastian Mezzanotte, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI.
Gerstell Academy's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-2. As for Glenelg Country, their victory bumped their record up to 2-7.
Gerstell Academy will head out on the road to challenge Severn School at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Glenelg Country, they will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Annapolis Area Christian at 4:15 p.m. The last three games Annapolis Area Christian has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
