Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tucson High Magnet School). They enjoyed a cozy 48-33 victory over the Casa Grande Cougars on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Badgers.

It was another big night for Noah Chanez, who rushed for 263 yards and five scores while picking up 7.3 yards per carry.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Tucson High Magnet School was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 296 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Tucson High Magnet School, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Chanez, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Casa Grande's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ben Matecki, who threw for 309 yards and three TDs on only 18 passes, and Cameron Armstrong, who gained 95 total yards. Matecki is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last three games he's played.

The win got Tucson High Magnet School back to even at 3-3. As for Casa Grande, they dropped their record down to 3-3 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
