Softball Recap: Valley Christian Starts Season with Win on the Road

Valley Christian had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on the Highlands Scots with a sharp 28-13 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Lions as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Highlands now has a losing record of 1-2.

Valley Christian will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Foothill at 4:30 p.m. on March 19th. As for Highlands, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rio Vista at 4:00 p.m. on March 11th. Highlands knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Rio Vista likes a good challenge.
