Hersey has been away from home for three games now, but on Tuesday they'll finally make their return. They will take on the Palatine Pirates at 6:00 p.m. Palatine took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Hersey, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Hersey beat Lake Zurich 2-0.
While Hersey won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-18.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Palatine's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of DePaul College Prep by a score of 2-1.
In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Palatine sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 23-25, 25-21.
The win got Hersey back to even at 16-16. As for Palatine, their loss dropped their record down to 20-12.
