Football Recap: Albemarle Starts off Right with Win over College Prep & Leadership Academy + How To Watch

Albemarle had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They really took it to the College Prep & Leadership Academy Royals for the full four quarters, racking up a 48-14 victory. The Bulldogs pushed the score to 40-14 by the end of the third, a deficit the Royals had little chance of recovering from.

Aj Butler was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 121 yards and two TDs on only 14 carries. Jaymi Campbell also helped with two scores in total.

Coming up, Albemarle will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against North Wake S at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for College Prep & Leadership Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on East Rutherford at 7:30 p.m. on September 5.
