Football Recap: Albemarle Starts Season with Victory on the Road + How To Watch

Albemarle had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the College Prep & Leadership Academy Royals 48-14. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Bulldogs had established a 26-point advantage.

Albemarle found their leader in sophomore Aj Butler, who rushed for 121 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 carries. Another player making a difference was Jaymi Campbell, who picked up 49 receiving yards and two TDs.

Looking ahead, Albemarle will host North Wake S at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for College Prep & Leadership Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on East Rutherford at 7:30 p.m. on September 5.
