Football Recap: Beardstown Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Beardstown extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping them down to 1-5. They came up short against the Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia Trojans, falling 38-13. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

As for Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia, the victory got them back to even at 3-3. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their eight-point performance the contest before.

Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Will Burton led the charge by picking up 65 receiving yards and one score, while also rushing for 53 yards and one touchdown. Burton also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making nine total tackles. Grant Fricke helped out on the ground, rushing for 111 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Beardstown has already played their next matchup, a 66-0 loss against Brown County on the 10th. As for Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 6-0 win against Unity/Seymour on the 10th.
