Basketball Game Preview: Oceanside Pirates vs. Foothills Christian Knights

Having just played yesterday, the Oceanside Pirates will jump right back in to play the Foothills Christian Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Oceanside has given up an average of 70.4 points per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Oceanside is headed into Saturday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Friday. They took a 68-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Valhalla.

Meanwhile, Foothills Christian had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 70-57 to High Tech CV.

Oceanside will have to contain Joel Richards as he made an impact in Foothills Christian's last game. He posted 31 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jaelyn Hasten, who put up eight points and eight boards.

Oceanside's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Foothills Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Oceanside was taken down by Foothills Christian 86-37 when the teams last played back in December of 2019. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Pirates were down 46-22.
