Liberty was forced to take a big loss against they on Wednesday, they got the better of them on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Garces Memorial Rams 6-5. This was a revenge game for the Patriots: when they faced off against the Rams on Wednesday, they had to take a 10-2 defeat.

Liberty saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Baird, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Brogan Witcher was another, going 2-for-4 with two runs.

Liberty's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-14. As for Garces Memorial, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 11-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Liberty will host Stockdale at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Patriots' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Garces Memorial, they will square off against Bakersfield Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
