After only two runs in their last contest, Shenango made sure to put some runs up on the board against Freedom Area on Wednesday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over the Bulldogs. Considering the Wildcats have won eight games by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Kennedi Lynn was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Lynn was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Zoe Offie was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Emma Herb was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Shenango was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .706. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The victory got Shenango back to even at 9-9. As for Freedom Area, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shenango will face off against Central Valley at 4:00 p.m. on May 8. As for Freedom Area, they will take on Carlynton at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.21 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
