Basketball Recap: Clinton Has No Trouble Against Mid-Carolina

A well-balanced attack led Clinton over Mid-Carolina in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. The Clinton Red Devils blew past the Mid-Carolina Rebels 65-40. The Red Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Mid-Carolina lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Landon Templin, who posted eight points and 11 rebounds. Kaden Myers was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Clinton is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.4 points per game. As for Mid-Carolina, they dropped their record down to 3-12 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clinton will take on Fairfield Central at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairfield Central will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Clinton surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mid-Carolina, they will square off against Columbia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mid-Carolina is facing Columbia at the right time seeing as Columbia is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
