St. Augustine Prep (Richland, N.J.) didn't let up as Saturday's game came to a close, scoring 14 in the fourth quarter to seal a 45-21 victory over
Buena (N.J.).
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Casmir Phillips in the second quarter, the Hermits were up 17-13 at the half.
St. Augustine Prep grew its lead to 10 points entering the fourth quarter. SAP scored two times in the third, including once on a passing touchdown.
The Chiefs came in allowing just 17.0 points per game this season. Buena struggled against St. Augustine Prep's offense, which entered the game scoring 57.4 points per game.
The Hermits also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 20-12.
The loss was the fourth in a row for BHS.
