Soccer Recap: Sharpstown's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Sharpstown won the last time they faced Madison and things went their way on Friday too. The Sharpstown Apollos sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Madison Marlins. The Apollos wouldn't have won without Carlos Zuniga Rapalo, who scored the game-winner.

The victory (which was Sharpstown's fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-6. As for Madison, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4-1 record this season.

Looking ahead, Sharpstown will head out to face off against Sterling at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Sharpstown is facing Sterling at the right time seeing as Sterling is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Madison, they will welcome Galena Park at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Madison's last five games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
