Basketball Recap: Urbana Comes Up Short

Urbana was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 57-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tri-Valley Vikings. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly eight points.

Despite the loss, Urbana still got an impressive performance from Landyn Hannah, who went 8-for-19 en route to 19 points. Another player making a difference was Jesse MfWamba, who posted 11 points and seven boards.

Urbana's defeat dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Tri-Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-12.

Urbana does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tri-Valley, they will face off against Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
