Crenshaw saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was LaCoy Smith, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and a triple. Smith is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's stolen at least two every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Roberto Salazar, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.
On WISH Academy's side, Benjamin Atlas was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2.
Crenshaw's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-2. As for WISH Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3-1 record this season.
Crenshaw will head out on the road to square off against Middle College at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Crenshaw's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Middle College's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for WISH Academy, they will head out on the road to take on George Washington Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
