It's playoff time, and South Stanly had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Hiwassee Dam Eagles on Tuesday as they made off with  a  9-2 victory. Considering the Rowdy Rebel Bulls have won 11 games by more than six  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Kinsley Tyson made a splash no matter where she played. She  struck out 11 batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   three  hits. That's the most  strikeouts  she has posted since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Ashelyn Tucker was  excellent,  going 3-for-4 with two  runs and two  RBI.  Elliana Ussery was another key player,  going 1-for-4 with three  RBI.
 South Stanly  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. They are 9-1 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
South Stanly's win  ended  an  eight-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 13-13. As for Hiwassee Dam,  with the  defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-8.
 Looking ahead, South Stanly will take on Union Academy on Friday. The Rowdy Rebel Bulls' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cardinals have averaged an impressive 11.4  runs per game this season. Hiwassee Dam does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
