Basketball Recap: Nine Straight Home Victories for Royal

Royal came tearing into Friday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Cashmere Bulldogs by a score of 74-64. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 73rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Royal pushed their record up to 18-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. As for Cashmere, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-5.

Royal is facing Naches Valley at the right time seeing as Naches Valley is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Cashmere, they and Wapato will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday. Wapato knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 games -- so hopefully Cashmere likes a good challenge.
