The victory got Fremont back to even at 2-2. As for Syracuse, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
Fremont was able to grind out a solid win over Syracuse in their previous meeting back in April of 2023, winning 6-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fremont since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
