The Trinity Christian Academy Lions will take on the Halls Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Trinity Christian Academy and Tipton-Rosemark Academy had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Lions fell just short of the Rebels by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Rebels recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Thomas Thornton was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Trinity Christian Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was John Brooks, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.
Meanwhile, Halls had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Vikings. 16 seems to be a good number for the Tigers as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Britton Moore made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, Halls got a massive performance out of Harrison Hicks, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave Hicks a new career-high. Wyatt Wilburn was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Halls was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Humboldt only posted a batting average of .200.
Halls pushed their record up to 18-8 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Trinity Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 9-13-1.
Trinity Christian Academy took their win against Halls in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 16-0 score. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
