Recap: Harding University Rams vs. North Mecklenburg Vikings
The Harding University Rams lost against the North Mecklenburg Vikings back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Harding University was dealt a 113-47 defeat at the hands of North Mecklenburg. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Harding University has scored all season.
Several Rams players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chase Bryson, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. The matchup was Bryson's sixth in a row with at least ten points. YahYah Abdul-Rashid was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Harding University struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Harding University's loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-4. As for North Mecklenburg, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Harding University's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Chambers at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th. Chambers has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 418 points over their last six contests. North Mecklenburg is on the road again on Friday and play against Mallard Creek at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th. Mallard Creek will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 285th, while North Mecklenburg is ranked 18th).
