Soccer Game Preview: Bangor vs. Marcellus

The Bangor Vikings will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the Marcellus Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Bangor came up short against Buchanan on Friday, falling 7-1. The defeat continues a trend for Bangor in their meetings with Buchanan: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Marcellus was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor New Buffalo could gain the upper hand on Friday so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Bangor's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. Marcellus' draw gives them a new season record of 1-0-1.

Bangor couldn't quite get it done against Marcellus in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
