Baseball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for King George

King George hadn't done well against Courtland recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Foxes never let the Cougars get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. That's two games straight that the Foxes have won by exactly three runs.

The win (which was King George's fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-6. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Courtland, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. King George will host Brooke Point at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Courtland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Caroline at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Cavaliers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Cougars' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
