Softball Recap: Auburn Takes a Loss

Auburn fell victim to Kentwood and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 11-0 to the Conquerors. The Trojans' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Auburn saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bailey Brown, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Auburn's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Kentwood, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-6.

Looking ahead, Auburn is taking a road trip to challenge Tahoma at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bears will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Kentwood, they will welcome Kennedy Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Conquerors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lancers have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season.
