Baseball Game Preview: Bradshaw Christian Pride vs. Rosemont Wolverines

For the second straight game, Bradshaw Christian will face off against Rosemont. The Pride will be playing at home against the Wolverines at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Bradshaw Christian's favor as the team sits on 26 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Rosemont has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

Bradshaw Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Rosemont get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Pride have won 18 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Chase Tidwell looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Landon Carter, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Rickert, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Bradshaw Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .458. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .318 or higher in six consecutive games.

Bradshaw Christian's win bumped their record up to 22-2. As for Rosemont, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-18-1.
