St. Elizabeth is 8-2 against St. Mark since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The St. Elizabeth Vikings just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the St. Mark's Spartans at 7:15 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

St. Elizabeth will bounce into Monday's game after beating Salesianum, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. St. Elizabeth simply couldn't be stopped on Sunday as they easily beat Salesianum 70-31. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Delaware basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while the Sallies are ranked 29th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, St. Mark's had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They blew past the Lions, posting a 78-44 victory. That 34 point margin sets a new team best for the Spartans this season.

St. Elizabeth has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.5 points per game. As for St. Mark's, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

St. Elizabeth strolled past St. Mark's when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a score of 63-45. Will St. Elizabeth repeat their success, or does St. Mark's have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
