Softball Recap: Academy Park Knights vs. Interboro Buccaneers

Academy Park had lost seven straight at home dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 0-8 to make it eight. They lost 18-0 to the Interboro Buccaneers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Buccaneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 on April 8th.

As for Interboro, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.1 runs over those games.

For Interboro's part, Vannesa Harrity was a standout: she fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-2. Those two home runs gave Harrity a new career-high. Olivia Bulovas also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
