Basketball Recap: Buffalo Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Powell

On Friday, Buffalo faced Powell in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Buffalo Bison took a 52-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Powell Panthers. The defeat continues a trend for the Bison in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Several Bison players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brady Engling, who went 7 of 14 en route to 14 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Zayne Huber, who posted 13 points along with five boards and four steals.

Buffalo's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Powell, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 11-5 record.

Buffalo has already played their next game, a 59-50 defeat against Worland on the 1st. As for Powell, they will square off against Mountain View at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th.
