Basketball Recap: SEED DC Comes Up Short

SEED DC suffered their biggest loss since December 9, 2024 on Saturday. They had to suffer through an 87-54 loss at the hands of the Douglass Eagles. SEED DC has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

SEED DC lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Zeadon Myles, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine boards. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Markel Ingram, who posted six points along with six rebounds and three blocks.

Douglass had a senior duo take command as Jelani Lee went 8 for 12 on his way to 20 points and six boards and Solomon Lewis went 7 of 13 en route to 17 points and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lee has scored all season. Makhye McKnight was another key player, putting up eight points and nine assists.

SEED DC's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Douglass, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-4.

SEED DC has already played their next match, a 46-27 victory against Maya Angelou Public Charter on the 3rd. As for Douglass, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 72-66 win against Potomac on the 3rd.
