Baseball Game Preview: Todd County Central Rebels vs. Logan County Cougars

For the second straight game, Todd County Central will face off against Logan County. The Rebels will head out on the road to face off against the Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Todd County Central fell victim to Logan County and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 10-0. The Rebels haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

For Logan County's part, Tate McLean made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over six innings pitched. McLean was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

In other batting news, Drew McLellan was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was EJ Walker, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

The win was the fifth in a row for Logan County, bringing their record up to 13-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Todd County Central, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
