Softball Recap: Immaculata Gets the Win

Immaculata never let their opponents score on Monday. They came out on top against the Colonia Patriots by a score of 5-0. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Maddie Falvey made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 15 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 18 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hailey Cuyun, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Immaculata's win bumped their record up to 16-14. As for Colonia, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12.

Coming up, Immaculata will square off against Watchung Hills Regional on Wednesday. As for Colonia, they will face off against Spotswood at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
