After losing to Delavan-Darien the last time they met, Whitewater decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Whippets took down the Comets 57-43 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Whippets.

Whitewater's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Casey Lyon led the charge by going 8-for-20 en route to 23 points and six boards. That makes it five consecutive games in which Lyon has scored at least a third of the Whippets' points. Another player making a difference was Matthew Carollo, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten rebounds.

Whitewater's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Delavan-Darien, they dropped their record down to 2-3 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Whitewater will be home for the holidays to greet East Troy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Whippets will need to watch out since the Trojans have now posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for Delavan-Darien, they are taking a road trip to face off against Lincoln Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
