Football Preview: Highland Hornets vs. Taos Tigers
After starting their season with two straight games on the road, Highland is finally coming home. They will be defending their home-fieldthey go up against the Taos Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Last Friday, Highland was just a hair shy of victory and fell 20-19 to Bernalillo.
Highland might have lost, but man, Amiri Mumba was a machine: he rushed for 244 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.8 yards per carry. Mumba was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 50 yards.
Even though they lost, Highland was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 320 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bernalillo only rushed for 142.
