Volleyball Recap: Emma Campbell and Kinley Horner Secure Win for South Webster

South Webster had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Portsmouth West Senators. This was a revenge game for the Jeeps: when they faced off against the Senators on September 11th, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

One reason for the win was South Webster's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-18, 25-12.

Leading South Webster to victory were Kinley Horner and Emma Campbell. Horner had 14 digs, while Campbell had five digs and two aces. That's the most digs Horner has posted since back in August.

They weren't the only good servers: South Webster was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Portsmouth West only served four.

South Webster's record now sits at 12-7. As for Portsmouth West, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

South Webster has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Wheelersburg on the 2nd. As for Portsmouth West, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Fairfield on the 1st.
